Apex signs agreement with Blue Highways TV PDF Print E-mail

In its continuous push to represent more broadcast, cable and satellite properties, Apex Media recently signed an exclusive agreement with Blue highways TV for both their long and short form D/R advertising. Blue Highways distributes to a cable subscribers base and also offers VOD opportunities for viewers. It bills itself as "Television that explores the people, stories, traditions and cultures of America."

In addition to Blue Highways TV, Apex Media is also under consideration to be the exclusive representative for "LoneStar Sports Network," based in Fort Worth, Texas (you were expecting Brooklyn?).  "LoneStar" currently airs on cable throughout the major Texas markets reaching nearly 7-million homes.

The upcoming digital transition is February, 2009, is giving birth to a number of digital network properties and several are in the sights of Apex. They include "Dot 2 Network," "HNN, Hispanic News Network," "Biz Television," and "WCSN, Universal Sports Network."  Apex has been in discussions with all of these properties for full representation of their ad time.

Apex Media's Hispanic division has experienced tremendous growth this year thanks to the efforts of Angie Sheribel, Director of Latino Sales, and her assistant, Gena Gutierrez.  We can expect this portion of our business to continue to expand and thrive in the coming year. By the way, we all congratulate Gena who recently passed her American citizenship test, and will be sworn in as a newly minted  United States citizen before the end of December.

The demands of Apex Media's growth in short form direct response advertising has required us to grow that division. Fred Byers, an experienced broadcasting sales manager, has joined the company as Short Form Ad Specialist. He will be working out of his office in Denver. Fred joins Tony Perez, in Denver as well, who was the first short form sales executive to join the company more than a year ago.

Though we are all faced with a most challenging economic climate, the Apex Media staff of sales professionals continues to push hard to create more money making opportunities for the existing base of clients, while constantly enterprising new opportunities to help us through these difficult times.
